Rose and Crown, Old Park Lane - the possibility of a drunken rabble getting past the doormen into the bar of one of the large hotels seems pretty remote, so I've opted for this pub on Old Park Lane. Unfortunately, the name escapes me at the moment as I forgot to write it down. The only thing I can remember is that it was packed, probably with the flotsam and jetsam who couldn't be bothered to queue up for the Hard Rock.
Walk up Old Park Lane, turn right down Hertford Street and follow this street round to the left for Shepherd Street and Shepherd Market.
